Here is a quick no bullshit tutorial for applying a LUT in adobe premiere cc. A LUT also known as a Look Up Table is basically an image preset that your editor (and some cameras) will apply to the image. In the most basic terms a LUT tells the editor/camera what the colors should look like.
You can buy and download LUTs at various sites through-out the internet. The LUT used in this tutorial was released for free by Sony to give you Arri Alexa like colors from an Slog image.
Applying a LUT is a great "One and done" effect to apply to footage. As long as you shoot correctly and don't need to fix anything, a LUT will do almost all of your color grading needs for quick jobs.
