Sales is a numbers game, and even as a Technical Sales Engineer, it's no different. The more people that you have in your pipeline, the less effect a rejection will have on your motivation. By focusing all of your efforts on building the pipeline, you can remove the emotional connection you will have when someone tells you "no".
Then focus on determining exactly why that prospect didn't choose you and asking questions like:
Thank you so much for the update on the project. We are continuously improving our offering, can you please let me know why you didn't choose our solution?
This will not only help you with your existing deals in your pipeline but also give you the opportunity to either improve how you're pitching or tell management about some solutions changes they should make to your product/service.
