Francisco Muñoz Sánchez (Casamaría, Herrerías) vividly remembers the birth of his best animals, and every time a calf is born on his farm, he ventures to predict whether the offspring will grow into a cow with exceptional conformation. He left his construction job to dedicate himself to raising Limousin cattle, with the intention of "becoming number one." There had always been cows at his home, but they were crossbred. "In 2005, we started introducing Limousin cattle, and over time we bred them," he recalls. Later, in 2015, he traveled to France and invested €60,000 in this breed. His current focus is on genetic development.
