This video will go through the necessary steps to mod your Cobain Jaguar with partial coil splits.
However, this mod can be applied to any guitar with a humbucker, where you are looking to get a single coil sound without sacrificing too much output.
To do this mod to your guitar you will need:
A DPDT switch (I used a switchcraft dpdt slide switch)
A 4.7k resistor per humbucker (so two for this video's mod)
A humbucker (or 2) with 4 conductor wiring
That's it!
Just wire your switch up using the north and south finish wires (or whatever combo you are using to access your specific coil) and a 4.7k resistor going to ground and you are good to go!
