How to configure Data Loss Prevention Policy (DLP) in Microsoft Copilot Studio?
This video explains how we can configure Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policy for a copilot using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
Data Loss Prevention enforce policies to prevent unauthorized access to data or services. DLP is implemented by creating policies and then applying the policy across environments to a Power Platform connector
DLP is used
✔️ When you want to protect sensitive data
✔️ When you want to prevent oversharing of data / information
How to enable?
✔️ Create a DLP policy
✔️ Select the environment in which your copilot is hosted
✔️ Select the capabilities which you want to block
✔️ Using PowerShell run a command to enable DLP enforcement
Important Notes
✔️ We can exempt a bot from getting a DLP policy applied
✔️ We can enable DLP in audit mode / soft enabled (for warning only)
✔️ We can enable DLP policy for bots created after some dates
