Grace Doran married Buddy Francis and first moved to Palm Beach. Grace and Buddy owned the Doran-Francis Palm Springs Beauty College in Palm Springs, CA. Grace was in partnership with Comer Syprett and formed the Comer-Doran Beauty School and Method, one of the industry’s first educational systems for cosmetology schools. She and Comer Syprett set up over 100 schools of cosmetology. Grace and Buddy eventually settled in Chicago and partnered with Leo Passage to form Pivot Point, the premier publisher of cosmetology training material. She and her husband eventually moved back to Vista California where I believe she died in 2007.
