If you're carrying stress in your body and can't seem to switch off, this guided relaxation session was originally recorded as a private one-to-one session — and it went so well it had to be shared.
This session combines two of the most effective relaxation approaches available: the Alexander Technique constructive rest position and the principles of Yoga Nidra — a deeply restorative practice that brings you to the threshold between waking and sleep, where the nervous system genuinely lets go of accumulated tension.
You don't need any experience of either practice to benefit from this. Just lie down, press play, and follow along. Most people feel the difference within minutes.
This is the kind of relaxation that goes beyond simply feeling calm in the moment. Practised regularly — even just a few times a week — it can meaningfully reduce chronic stress, improve sleep quality, reduce muscle tension, and give your nervous system a genuine reset.
Nick Chapman has been teaching the Alexander Technique for over 20 years, trained directly by Walter Carrington at the Constructive Teaching Centre — one of the most respected lineages in the method.
