Double integrals - change of variables (no polar coordinates)
Double integrals using the change of variables other than polar coordinates.
In the previous lesson (link at the bottom of the page) we discussed double integrals when there was a change of variables. Specifically, double integrals were proposed in which polar coordinates were used. This is a very common transformation in exam topics. However, polar or elliptic coordinates do not always have to be used, but generic transformations, therefore moving from the old variables (x,y) to the new variables (u,v) based on the structure of the given integration domain.
In this video, two exercises are proposed that are very similar to those assigned in the exam topics of mathematical analysis 2.
