On February 16 2014 I was trying to make my own experimental guitar parts and figured out certain parts were much cheaper to buy retailer prices. This made me decide to start a business. I filled in the Chamber of Commerce form and when asked for the business name I looked up on my computer monitor. On the screen I had an AutoCAD file open where I was tracing certain guitar parts. For better contrast I was using red layers... at that point Red Layer Guitars was born.
After making my first 8-string, influenced by the Swedish band Meshuggah, things took off. I called it the Juggernaut: an unstoppable force, a symbol to a commitment to never stop building guitars.
