This is for a class I teach at the University of Illinois, Springfield, called "Politics of American Education." Here, we are discussing critical theory and how it's perspective could be used to explain the growth of public policy in education, before we read a section of Bowles & Gintis's book "Schooiing in Capitalist America" (which fits in well with a critical theory approach).
