How To: Update Firmware on ELITE V2
In this video, Jake will walk you through the updated procedure for upgrading the firmware on your ELITE V2 device. The process is applicable to all users looking to install the latest firmware version 30021 or newer, as of July 2023. Here's what you need to do:
1: Gather the required tools: ELITE V2 device, 12V power adapter, USB A to B cable, and the firmware update application.
2: Prepare your computer by ensuring the firmware update application (PIC32 UBL) is installed.
3: Connect ELITE V2 to the computer using the USB A to B cable.
4: Enter DFU mode by powering down the ELITE V2, pressing and holding the "0" key, reconnecting the power, and following the on-screen prompts.
5: Run the firmware update application as an administrator.
6: Enable USB communication in the firmware update application.
7: Establish a connection between the computer and ELITE V2 by clicking the "Connect" button.
8: Upload the ELITE update Hex file into the application using the "Load Hex File" button.
9: Flash the firmware by clicking the "Erase Program Verify" button (do not interrupt the process).
10: Verify the update's success in the status window.
11: Disconnect the ELITE V2 and power cycle the device.
12: Confirm the updated firmware version by holding the "#" key for a few seconds on the device's display.
