Adding New Devices to ELITE DataSystems
Learn how to effortlessly add new devices to ELITE DataSystems with just a few simple steps! In this tutorial, Jake will guide you through three easy methods for connecting The ELITE Complete tester and Sentinel continuous monitor. All you need are a few key pieces of information: the serial number and MAC address, as well as the IP address accessible from the device menu.
Inside ELITE DataSystems, head over to the devices tab. Here, you'll find three easy ways to connect your hardware.
1. Auto Discovery: If your network allows broadcasting, EDS can automatically detect and connect to your devices. Simply ensure that your network is configured accordingly, and you'll see your device automatically appear in the device list.
2. IP Address: Enter the IP address into the search field in EDS. This will establish a connection to the specified IP address and add it to your device list.
3. Manual Addition: In more complex network environments, manually adding devices is often the preferred method. Select the device type, enter the required information and the port number, and click "Manually Add Unit." Your device will then populate in the device list.
