remembering sidney poitier - jan 20
it was two, and now we've lost three... Bob, Betty, and Sidney...this is about Mr. Sidney Poitier. i don't remember how old I was when I watched "To Sir, With Love"... I was a kid though, and Sidney Poitier made me root for him, the teacher, amidst all he went through. Is it a surprise that I became a schoolteacher in similar surroundings... Even in Guyana, a continent away, he became my mom's favourite actor, a man she looked up to and admired. I'm currently digging into his life and films and will be sharing what I learn about his life and unknown stories on January 20th, along with the songs that are closely connected to his career.
