In this video I show you how you can adjust / calibrate the fuel consumption indicator of the instrument cluster on the on-board computer to the real fuel consumption of your Ford vehicle via "AFE bias "* in a few steps. Suitable for newer Ford models like Ford Focus MK3 (FL), Ford Focus MK4, Ford Mondeo Mk4, Ford Mondeo Mk5, Ford C-MAX MK2, Ford S-MAX MK2, Ford Kuga MK2, Ford Galaxy MK2, Ford Fiesta MK7/8 and many more. The procedure is similar or the same for many models, only the service menu structure may differ slightly. Example using a Ford Focus 3 Facelift on-board computer.
In the service menu you can change the values via the menu item *"AFE bias" and thus correct / adjust the consumption with the following example calculation: Your trip computer shows 7.3 litres / 100 km, but the real consumption is 6.1 litres / 100 km. Using these values, you then calculate the following: 7.3 ÷ 6.1 × 1000 = 1,196. You then enter the result (1196) as a value to adjust the average consumption display. Higher value = less consumption, lower value = more consumption. Default value: 1000.
