This split squat variation will help improve hip flexor mobility as well as ankle mobility while simultaneously improving balance and hip stability.

Stand with one foot in front of the other and place your front foot on a 4-6 inch riser (or what ever elevated surface you can find). Bend back knee straight down towards floor. Make sure to keep torso upright, and your weight should be in your front heel and you will feel a stretch in the thigh of your back leg.
