Viking Fire Festival, Wexford.
I spent a damp afternoon getting shots at the local Viking Fire Festival, in my home town of Wexford. in the South-East corner of Ireland. Reenactors from across Europe came to show replica weapons, show crafts and explaining viking history.
Wexford was founded by Vikings around 800 AD, and was originally named 'Veisafjǫrðr' which translates to "inlet of the mud flats".
Unfortunately, I couldn't stick around for the fire after nightfall but I did catch a fierce viking battle to the death!
