Big Update : Galaxy Watch 7 and Ultra Images
Ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event later this month, a Chinese website ITHome has discovered new images of the Galaxy Watch 7 on the Telecommunications Terminal Industry Association's (TAF) website.
One surprising thing to note is that ITHome called the upcoming smartwatch “Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra,” contrary to the previously known name, Galaxy Watch Ultra.
From the listing, the regular Galaxy Watch 7, with model number SM-L3150, supports LTE connectivity and comes with embedded eSIM. This is similar the Galaxy Watch 6. Meanwhile, the listing also shows the 44mm unit of Galaxy Watch 7 has a 417 mAh battery capacity which slightly smaller than the 425mAh of Galaxy Watch 6.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch Ultra, with model number SM-L7050, is noted to have a larger 590 mAh battery, similar to that of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
Judging by the photos, the Watch 7 Ultra does not appear to be a large smartwatch, making one wonder how Samsung has managed to fit a 590 mAh battery into a relatively compact body.
From what has been confirmed so far, the Galaxy Watch 7 and Ultra will come with an advanced penta-core Exynos W1000 chip which is based on a 3nm fabrication process. Both watches will also have 32GB of RAM and feature dual-band GPS.
Meanwhile, according to prices spotted on a French website, the 40mm Bluetooth model of the Galaxy Watch 7 will retail for €319, while the 44mm model will have a €349 price tag.
The Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra which is expected to come in only 47mm LTE model, will have a €699 price tag.
Samsung is expected to officially announce both watches, including the Galaxy Ring, at the Unpacked event in Paris on the 10th of this month.
