Apple Watch Ultra Killer! Galaxy Watch Ultra Specs and Prices Revealed
A few days before the highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event, detailed specifications and pricing of the forthcoming Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch 7 have surfaced, thanks to Dealabs, a French website. This leak not only provides insight into the features of the new watches but also reveals their expected prices in the French market. This revelation isn't so surprising considering the Unpacked event will be held in Paris.
According to Dealabs, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is projected to retail at €699. It will have a 47mm footprint with a 47.4 x 47.1 x 12.1mm dimension and a weight of 60.5g.
Meanwhile, like the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, the Ultra will come in a titanium case with a Sapphire crystal screen and a 3D Glass back.
The design and price of the Galaxy Watch Ultra are very similar to that of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 which has a titanium frame, sapphire glass front and retails for $799.
The report also stated that the Galaxy Watch will have a 1.5″ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480×480 and a pixel density of 327 ppi. This is similar to that of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47mm unit.
On the other hand, Dealabs confirms that the lower-end Galaxy Watch 7 will come in two sizes and each of the sizes will be available in Bluetooth and LTE models.
While the 40mm unit measures 40.4 x 40.4 x 9.7mm and weighs 28.9g, the 44mm version measures 44.4 x 44.4 x 9.7mm and weighs 33.8g.
The Galaxy Watch 7 like the Galaxy Watch 7 will feature an Armor Aluminum case with a Sapphire Glass screen and a 3D Glass back.
And while the 40mm unit has a 1.3″ AMOLED display the 44mm version has a 1.5″ display. Again, this corresponds to that of the 40 and 44mm units of Galaxy Watch 6.
Furthermore, while the 40mm unit packs a 300mAh battery, the 44mm is equipped with 425mAh battery capacity. This is very similar to the Galaxy Watch 6 which suggests the new watches in addition to improved processor and higher memory should boast a little longer battery life.
Meanwhile, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra has a more premium build than the Galaxy Watch 7, both watches will be powered by the same improved 3nm Exynos W1000 chip accompanied by 2GB of RAM.
Both watches also have the same 32GB of storage and will ship with the One UI 6 Watch-themed Wear OS 5 out of the box.
And for the first time, the Galaxy Watch 7 and Ultra will have dual-band GPS support for increased location tracking accuracy.
