I'm straight up stealing this technique from Dubspot and their video "the last drum rack you'll ever have to make."
   • The Last Drum Rack You'll Ever Have t...

In the video I never pointed out the obvious and that's that you will use an instrument layer as your main container. Also, this isn't something I would personally recommend you do until you have actually gone through and sorted out your sample library. Bitwig has plenty of great samples as well.

In Bitwig we have to do things a little bit differently than in Ableton, but the outcome is really the same. Now if you want you could add samples to all 128 pads but in order to access them all from the Note Shifter device you would have to adjust octave ranges. Personally I think that's a hassle and think sticking with 96 samples per instance of the drum machine should be fine. Really even 96 samples is probably too many for any given category you might have.

Once your done save this into your library and you won't have to worry about shuffling through samples from the preview menu.
