In today’s video, I’m going to teach you how to add icon or logo to a Squarespace website.
Whether you're launching a new brand or redesigning your existing site, adding a logo or custom icon is a key step in making your website stand out. Here I will show you how to set logo and browser icon both.
Step 1 – Log in to your Squarespace Account
Head to squarespace.com and click the Login button in the upper-right corner.
If you're already logged in — great, skip ahead. Otherwise, I recommend clicking Continue with Google for a fast and easy login without needing to remember another password.
Once logged in, choose the website where you want to upload your brand logo.
Step 2 – Enter Edit Mode
From your dashboard, click on Edit or Configure to enter the site editor.
Once you’re in, locate and click on Edit Site Header — this is where you’ll customize the header in Squarespace and add your visual branding.
Step 3 – Add or Change Your Logo
Inside the Site Title & Logo section, you’ll see a small pencil icon — click it to modify the current logo or text.
Look for the Add Image button. This allows you to upload a new logo file from your computer.
Once clicked, a file dialog will open. Select the image you want — ideally a high-resolution PNG or SVG file that represents your brand.
After uploading, your new Squarespace site logo should appear instantly in the header.

Along with your main logo, you may also want to add or update the browser tab icon — also known as the favicon.
Here’s how to do that:
Start by logging into your Squarespace account and opening your site.
Then, go to the Design section and select Browser Icon.
If you're using Squarespace version 7.1, navigate to:
On dashboard, search in bar, type favicon, and you will see the page there, open it and scroll below to add image of favicon.
Make sure your favicon file meets the following requirements:
Size: at least 100 by 100 pixels
Format: must be square and saved as .png, .ico, .jpg, or .svg
Once your favicon is uploaded, hit Save.
To see it live, clear your browser cache and refresh your website.
This small icon helps reinforce your brand identity on Squarespace and adds a polished, professional touch.
