Dukta Turks, who have lived as nomads for thousands of years in the vast Mongolian steppes, are still trying to keep their old traditions and customs alive today. The population of the Dukha Turks, who struggle to survive in the taiga around the city of Tsagaanur in the Khösköl region of Mongolia, is in danger today. It is thought that there are only about 700 Dukha Turks left, and only about 200 of them still maintain their nomadic lifestyle. Now their population is decreasing and they are in danger of extinction due to increased migration to the city. Because they breed reindeer, the people of Mongolia call them Tsataan, meaning reindeer people. Dukha Turks, who have gained fame by being referred to as Reindeer People in the international press in recent years, have a large number of tourist visitors. I have prepared for you a short documentary about the 3-day period I spent with the Tsataans, who are trying to preserve their essence with their last struggle among the lost Turks of the steppe.
