HOW DOES IT WORK?
Healthy forests = clean water
Forests act like an Umbrella, Sponge, Filter; Active management is necessary.
Active management - taking care of the land – helps ensure it remains healthy and productive, retaining benefits that we need to survive that we sometimes take for granted.
Forest landowners provide a service to us all by retaining and managing their forests, however this contribution goes largely unrecognized.
For this reason, the Southeastern Partnership for Forests and Water was established in 2012 to “Keep Forests as Forests”.
Healthy forests are critical to the future of our drinking water.
