Nippon Hoso-Kikai Co., Ltd. has developed a new type of packaging that realizes "compact packaging" without using cardboard or tape.
Instead of cardboard, we wrap the goods in cushioning material and shrink wrap to make the packaging as compact as possible.
First of all, we prepare a box for the product, and then large cushioning materials for the box,
Wrap with large air cushioning material. Once we have completely wrapped it, we have a shrink wrap film that shrinks with heat. We place the product packed earlier in this, and finally compact the package by heating and heat welding.
Up to now, companies kept a large stock of cardboard, selected the box that fitted the product, and secured with tape. However, packaging with Air Ball can be done in a single step with a machine, improving work efficiency.
The advantage is that we can handle products of all shapes.
Reduce workload and save packaging materials. This technology can help to reduce the problem of labor shortages.
There are also advantages for the recipient of the package.
There is no need to separate the cardboard and the cushioning material,
If you remove the air when opening, the packaging becomes very compact and is all plastic, so you can save time in terms of waste separation.
Going forward, we are working on the development of a system that can randomly wrap goods directly from a conveyor belt in a fully automated manner.
