The Fun Effect | A Scene Comparison Compilation (read description)
In this video I showcase franchises which I feel have been hit with the Fun Effect (or have had a Fun Effect). A term I’ve coined that’s used to describe a franchise within a shared universe that once started out serious, grounded, dark, cool, poetic, etc from a stylistic standpoint, and became more colorful and whimsical as time went on. In other words they had a particular artistic direction and then progressively changed it. This essentially serves as a compilation of all of my comparison videos that I’ve made thus far, with some new additions.
This video was not made out of a place of hatred or anger. While for most of these franchises I do personally feel they have declined in varying degrees, this is nothing more than what it is: a comparison video. This video is not about me saying that all of these franchises suck now. I should’ve said this in the beginning.
