Lake Natron in Africa
Lake Natron's extreme conditions, including its high alkalinity and salt content, make it a challenging environment for most fish species. However, Alcolapia alcalica, a species of tilapia, has adapted to survive in these conditions. It's one of the few fish species known to inhabit Lake Natron. The lake's unique environment, which can turn animals into stone-like sculptures, is not conducive to a diverse fish population.
