The wizard and I (Cover)
#wickedmovie opened over the weekend. I have not seen it yet but getting this outta my system. I heard there were signs posted about not singing along with the movie.
The movie coming out has triggered old (20 year old) feelings. I was lucky enough to see #idinamenzel and #joelgrey perform back in '03 or '04? but denied myself any joy in singing any of the songs in public cause EVERYONE was singing these songs. I prided myself (and still do) on finding great songs to share from either less popular or lesser known musicals and/or composers. So wanting to do a cover of THIS song #thewizardandi makes me very nervous. I'm not trying to sound like anyone although I can't deny I have been influenced, cause I, along with many others, have been listening to these songs for forever.
I really hope I like the movie, when I get around to seeing it. Mixed reviews and I'm not surprised. All musical movies tend to. Alright, onto the song then....
