Maybe you are a woman. Maybe you love women. Maybe you hate women. Maybe you work with women. Maybe you have, or one day will have, a daughter. Women make up 52% of the population, and yet for the last 5 years, hold less than 20% of all technology positions in the work force. This has a social, but also, a significant economic impact on GDP. In order to create technologies that serve the society as a whole, we need more women in technology. Learn how to bridge this digital divide. In this session you will learn 10 ways to ally for women in technology. Learn simple ways to support women in the workplace and the community – in the office, at conferences, and online. We will act out each of the top 10 ways to ally so that you can become more confident in speaking up to support women.
