World-renowned explorer, environmentalist, son of renowned oceanographer Jacques Yves Cousteau Jean-Michel Cousteau wrote down an appeal to the government of Kazakhstan.
Several other world-famous scientists have sent similar letters to the government of Kazakhstan. All of them supported the initiative of the organization Free dolphins Kazakhstan to ban dolphinariums since they believe that it is impossible to keep them in captivity.
Recall that Kazakhstani animal rights activists appealed to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with a request to release the animals. Activists are appalled by the living conditions of mammals in the country. They say dolphins need salt water and space.
