EDMUNDO GONZÁLEZ: SÁNCHEZ POSTPONES his recognition as President until consensus in the EU | RTVE
Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has explained that Spain will not, for now, recognize a victory by Edmundo González in Venezuela, but will work for unity in the EU and asks for a period of mediation until the end of the year to find a solution that, according to him, reflects the democratic will expressed at the polls when the results are known.
Sánchez affirmed Spain's efforts to promote unity in the press conference he held at the end of his visit to China. In it, he also sought to clarify his words about governing "without the legislature," referring to the fact that they are a coalition government in a parliamentary minority and that "out of necessity" and also "out of conviction" they are continually "building bridges" between the different political groups.
