So something a little different today. What if you wanted to create a 2D pixel character for a game, but had no experience? You didn't even know where to start. Or what if you wanted to create a custom Voxel-based character?
Well, a handy free programme is your saviour. Voxedit is currently still in beta, and free to download from www.Voxedit.io and it's wonderous. So simple to use, with fast results. The templates and animations are a joy.
You can also export in .obj format, meaning you can load your creations directly into Mixamo. I did, with mixed results, but from there, it's only a short hop over to Unity or Unreal.
Today though, I'll be using the screenshot feature, and sending those screenshots into Asperite to create a 2D sprite. Well, I won't create sprites today, I'll make a little gif. But you'll get the idea.
I didn't record an audio track, but if you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments.
Thanks for watching. Fancy a cuppa?
