Ironhide & Optimus | Still Here

Something a little different, a little more personal.
After the sh*tshow that happened back in August I strongly hesitated to ever do a "friendship" video ever again. But I couldn't simply not do one for Toni.
Some of you might know her as "theriseofIronhide" on socials, or as the Ironhide replica following "Optimus is Here" (Joe) on some events. I had the honor of having a DM popping up on my instagram, one year ago today, of this Ironhide replica owner wishing to commission me.
What an honor it was, to be able to create art for her and contribute to this character we all love so much. Soon commissions turned into a partnership, where I could create logos for her socials, all based on my top favorite characters? Hell yes.
But then a bond broke. And I do believe in broken heart caused by friendship ending. I won't go into details but at that point it was as if I had lost all connection to Transformers, to Ironhide himself. But Ironhide was still there in a way, with Toni and within me.
So we worked on that connection, to rebuild a new bond. To the character itself instead of a person. With the truck, the symbol it became all those miles away. Optimus felt more like Optimus once again and Ironhide felt back at my side. And it wouldn't have been possible without her. She got me back on my feet like no other; telling me what needed to be told and not what I wanted to hear.
So here's to one year. One year filled with hardships but it's in those times where bonds grow stronger. People change, I've learned that even the closest ones to you can become strangers in one day. But I never give up on friendships worth fighting for. I've said it and I'll say it again, thank you Toni, for everything ♥

On the more professional side of the edit, this allowed me to fully master Final Cut Pro's custom LUTs!! I finally took the time to create my own LUTs in order to color correct the weird greenish tone of the Transformers movies. Whoop whoop!
