Marja Laitinen, Senior Director in the European Government Affairs team at Microsoft, drives the company’s efforts to encourage responsible AI governance and innovation across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Prior to her work on AI, Marja led the Microsoft Digital Crimes Unit (DCU) in EMEA and, before that, in Central and Eastern Europe. In these positions, she oversaw a team of legal and technical experts in the fight against cybercrime and online threats.
