Generative AI marks a significant advancement in the field of artificial intelligence, with its ability to generate new content, ranging from lifelike images and coherent text to sophisticated data patterns. This innovation not only complements human creativity but also opens up unprecedented opportunities for enhancing creative processes, improving efficiency, and exploring new possibilities in various sectors such as design, entertainment, science, and education.

However, it’s crucial to remember that artificial intelligence operates through algorithms created by its developers and reflects the biases present in our society. These systems learn and interpret the world based on the data we feed them, and biased data can reinforce harmful stereotypes and biases, leading to unfair outcomes.

The need for a diverse group of individuals in AI development is more crucial than ever to ensure the technology we create is fair and inclusive. By incorporating a wide range of perspectives from different genders, social, and ethnic backgrounds, we can develop AI technologies that benefit all of humanity.

Explore how vital it is to integrate diversity and inclusion at the heart of AI, paving the way for a safer and more equitable future in technology.

Keynote speaker: Zeinab Yousefi | Data scientist | DNA.

I have always been fascinated by engineering technology and solving problems using mathematical and algorithmic tools. My journey started with a passion for engineering, but I ended up spending the past eight years immersing myself in ML/AI fields. This path has allowed me to work on a wide range of applications, from analyzing biomedical signals and utilizing ML tools to predict heart disease, to developing models that understand user intent, enabling proactive delivery of relevant information at the right time. Such experiences have enriched my understanding of the power of these tools across different scenarios.
