After the First World War, when defining the borders of the Latvian state, it was necessary to establish railway border stations. Existing stations were used for this, but where there were none, the Railway Board built new buildings. On the border of Lithuania, such was Meitene station in Jelgava district, Zemgale and Eglaine stations in Augšdaugava district. One of them was divided into two buildings by the war, the other was saved from destruction by the Catholic church, and only one person lives in the third. About all this in the 4th programme " See you at the station!".
