It is easier with 2 people but you can do it alone just make sure something holds up the rear hatch! I did spray some silicone oil on the inserts - https://amzn.to/4004V75 If the rear hatch still doesn't open then it's time to replace the hatch motor. I've never done it but I'm guessing not too difficult.
