Ambient Track Start to Finish

I made an ambient track from start to (almost) finish and documented the process. You can download most of the sounds for free from the link in the description.

I start in session view to get the sound palette, move to arrangement view, then discard it and start again in arrangement view.

There are a few cuts because you don't really want the boring bit of me staring at a screen and thinking about what to do next, that's really not fun. Plus I didn't do this in one session, I wasn't in the mood day 1, day 2 I just didn't feel what I'd made. Then I slept on it and day 3 I made the arrangement into something I'm happy with.

I could've done it in one go but that would have been planned out first. I preferred that it was spontaneous, a reflection of how it actually came together.
