New 2025 Nissan X-Trail (Rogue) Rock Creek Edition - Off-Road-Focused Flagship Mid-Size SUV
Nissan is toughening up its top-selling Rogue compact crossover for the 2025 model year with a new off-road-focused trim. The new-for-2025 Rogue Rock Creek features a host of add-ons designed to make it more useful for outdoorsy types as well as a bit better at leaving the pavement.
The Rogue is the second Nissan model to get the brand's Rock Creek treatment. The larger, three-row Pathfinder Rock Creek has a similar overall personality.
The Rock Creek is the woodsy version of the automaker's popular Rogue. Where other versions of the Rogue have a razor-blade-like grille with color-matched trim, the Rogue Rock Creek features a black front end with red accents. Up top, a heftier, higher-riding roof rack with movable cross rails stands ready to accommodate whatever attachments are needed for items such as bicycles, tents, or skis.
Its black-finish 17-inch alloy wheels wear Falken WildPeak all-terrain tires rather than the street-oriented rubber fitted to other models.
Nissan offers the Rogue Rock Creek in four colors: Everest White, Super Black, Boulder Gray, and Baja Storm.
The Rock Creek's seats are decked out in a water-repellent leatherette wearing Lava Red stitching and a Rock Creek logo. The dashboard features piano-black trim, and the all-terrain special also gains heated front seats and a 12-volt outlet in the cargo hold. The camera system has a new Off-Road View that works at speeds up to 12 mph to help drivers avoid pesky rocks and other hindrances, and the Rock Creek also adds hill-descent control. An optional package brings extra goodies such as a wireless charging pad, heated steering wheel, auto-dimming rear mirror, and interior LED ambient lighting.
The Rogue can now be optioned with ProPilot Assist 2.1, the hands-free highway driving assist. It can handle single-lane operation and highway curves. That ProPilot Assist 2.1 feature is part of a Technology Package that also adds a new wide-angle front camera view for aiding visibility around pillars and other obstacles,
Positioned in the middle of the Rogue lineup, above the S and SV but below the SL and Platinum, the Rock Creek gets the same 201-hp turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine as every other Rogue, which is backed by a continuously variable automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
