Precision Agriculture, the use of sophisticated tools and technology, offers significant advantages – but existing technology can be costly, keeping it out of reach for the majority of farmers around the world. Working directly with end users, MIT researchers have created several drip irrigation technology solutions, including a low-cost, solar-powered precision irrigation controller that optimizes energy use and water use.
