Our cities and towns are full of diverse, engaged storytellers who want to do journalism, but face cost and class barriers. How can we better support them? Join emerging BIPOC journalists from Lede New Orleans for a discussion on how communities, funders and newsrooms can reimagine journalism pathways and build a more equitable future for local media.

The guest panel includes:

Trevon Cole, Community Reporting Fellow at Lede New Orleans
Alec Devaprasad, Community Reporting Fellow at Lede New Orleans
Autumn Jemison, Community Reporting Fellow at Lede New Orleans
Alexis Reed, Community Reporting Fellow at Lede New Orleans

The webinar is hosted by Jen Larino, a 2022 JSK Community Impact Journalism Fellow and co-founder and president of Lede New Orleans – a nonprofit organization that trains Black, Brown, Latinx, Asian and LGBTQ+ young adults to tell the stories of marginalized communities in and around New Orleans.
