Let's start our badass workouts by ask you 2 SIMPLE QUESTIONS which is
1) Have you ever never compared yourself with anyone in all your life?
2) Have you ever stopped comparing yourself with others completely?
Unless you are God. The answer is inevitable "NO"
Doesn't matter how many times people tell you to stop comparing yourself with others or force yourself to stop comparing yourself with others. It's not gonna work. It'll never work. As a psychologist. I'm telling you this. It's okay to compare yourself with others. Because it's an evolutionary process to become the best version of you in order to fit in your surroundings. But it is not okay... To feel inferior and demotivated. Comparison thoughts are automatic. As I always say, don't try to stop the unstoppable that's where you get chronic stress. Now, even though I said it's okay to compare yourself with others. Before that, there are some rules you have to keep in mind.
Iron rule number one: self-record your efforts every day.
Compare yourself with what you were yesterday and what you are today. And fantasize about what you'll be like tomorrow.
Note: These rules only apply to those who are working (present continuous tense) every single day to attain their goal.
Iron rule number two: If you are going to compare yourself to somebody lower than you. Instead of enjoying the feelings of superiority... Motivate them. Trust me. It's a deep concept. So Try it. Thank me later.
Iron rule number 3: If you are gonna compare yourself with somebody better than you especially in skill, mindset, results, efforts. Instead of getting eaten by envy or low self-esteem tell him/her that they are your inspiration or at least tell yourself "He is My Inspiration".
For now... Envy ends... when you transform that into inspiration.
Dope. Lemme repeat that... Envy ends... when you transform that into inspiration.
Footnote: (not money not body)... That's an effect of efforts. Those are outcomes. I always don't focus on the effect... Focus on the process. That's it.
Remember... Thoughts are automatic. It's unstoppable. If you are smart. You won't try to stop the unstoppable. You will use that to your advantage by using your conscious efforts to refocus and restructure it. And... Don't forget to breathe. You cannot focus if you are not physically calm. So calm yourself physically first and your thoughts will listen to you.
Bottom line: These 3 iron rules will only work... 1) When you work on yourself every single day.
2) When you focus on efforts and not the effect.
