How to get famous – using Freuds method
In this video, I'm gonna tell you how does Freud become famous?
For that I want you to remember the line from the wolf of wall street- "There is no such thing as negative publicity"
Yea... it doesn't matter whether the publicity is controversial or negative or positive... In the end, "The publicity is publicity "
How did Freud get all credit for the concepts that he didn't even invent instead of many physicians, philosophers, and psychologists? I was once wondering with the same question in my mind then I did my research; turns out that it's all about the 'TimeLine'
We are talking about the early 19, where women dressed up to the neck and toe, and not to mention even describing the word "sex" was considered highly inappropriate and uncomfortable during those days.
As I said before, many people have contributed
Eg., in developing the concept of unconscious mind and ego, even building a lab, and even practicing hypnosis but none of them ever talked about "sexual impulses"
Always Remember this
"Sex is biology But Sex-appeal is marketing"
His concepts about sex and instincts became highly controversial. People even get an uncomfortable hearing this. But the thing is... "Everybody is curious to know "
Now you see it... don't you...?
I can give few examples of other celebrities who used negative publicity to get famous. But I prefer not to compare him with anybody. (because personally, I admire him a lot )
Bottom Line
Being famous is not always about Being right
