Green Screen in DaVinci Resolve Fusion | Intermediate Method
This quick video shows the basics of a more advanced green screen technique using "core" and "edge" mattes in Davinci Resolve Fusion. These mattes are combined to get the best of both worlds: a soft edge and a solid center for green screen videos.
In this video, I refer to the "edge" matte as a "detail" matte; these are basically the same thing, but a "detail" matte is used to get a more refined selection within a subject, while "edge" is just for edges.
At the end of the video, I have the node trees I created for quick access in the future. I learned this technique from a YouTube video a few years ago, which has since been taken down (terrible news, I know). In the wake of my sadness, I've been missing a quick video that goes over how to do better green screening than just the basics. So hopefully this video is as useful to you as I'm hoping it will be for me!
