The sixth stage of the Turbo Racing Cup 2021 at the Smolensk Ring
On September 11, the 6th stage of the Turbo Racing Cup time attack competition took place at the Smolenskoye Ring circuit🔥

In total, more than sixty pilots from various regions and different levels of training, as well as guests and spectators came to the circuit on this day.
Both
regular participants and new pilots who broke into the 2021 season literally at the last moment joined the fight for the best lap time. The stage was visited by racers, including their neighboring Belarus, who were also new participants of the season. The pilots promptly studied the Turbo Racing Cup regulations and took part in the races. 👍

Among the classes forming the Turbo Racing Cup championship, the Sport class was again the most numerous. The winner was Sergey Mitrofanov in an Opel Corsa GSI with a result of 01:47:653, who won back more than a second of the best lap time from his closest rivals. He also became the winner of the Opel Cup monocup.

The Ultra Sport class this time turned out to be completely filled with riders on Subaru Impreza STI (GDB) cars. The victory went to the rookie of the season, Alexander Valle, who showed a time of 01:42:371. His closest rival, Artem Pakhomenko, drove with a time of 01:42:722.

By the way, this is not the only class (not counting monocubes), where all the prizes were taken by cars of the same brand. In Hyper Sport, the pilots of three Porsches got on the podium, two of them Porsche 911 GT3 and one Porsche Carrera 4S. Vladimir Pchelintsev turned out to be the best in the class with a time of 01:37:742.

In the championship for experienced TRC PRO racers, the pilots of the Toyama Motors team, the leader of this season's Service Cup, took most of the prizes.

Despite the competition, there was an exceptionally friendly atmosphere in the boxes at the awarding ceremony and throughout the day. But the final Smolensk stage was only for the pilots of the Turbo Racing Cup standings. The winners of this season have already been identified among them, but for TRC PRO the competition has not yet ended. The final races for this competition will be held on October 17, at the close of the season by time attack.
