ABSTRACT
In this presentation we discuss the definition of a secure network and how IPSEC is only a part of the network security puzzle. We also visit some IPSEC deployment scenarios and talk about common network security tools. The presentation will also include an overview of CIAG at Cisco Systems.
About Dr. Akyol
Bora Akyol is a software engineer and researcher in the Critical Infrastructure Assurance Group (CIAG) at Cisco Systems. He has experience in wireless security, IPSEC/IKE, MPLS and VPNs, and earned a Doctorate from Stanford University, studying mobility issues in ATM/SONET networks. He co-authored RFC 3443 (Internet standard for Time To Live (TTL) Processing in Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) Networks, and holds 3 patents.
