MODULE 02 - PART 02: From Tradition to Project: Foundations and Practices for Writing and Developing Cultural Projects
This module deepens the understanding of what a cultural project is in the context of public policies and calls for proposals, offering conceptual bases and practical tools for writing and developing proposals. Its organization is broken down into four classes, each dedicated to specific parts of the project structure, articulating technique, coherence, and appreciation of the characteristics of traditional peoples and communities of African origin.
Throughout the module, project writing is treated as a process of strategic translation of existing practices, knowledge, social technologies, and community experiences, respecting ancestry, territoriality, collective memory, orality, institutional continuity, and community ties.
How the project happens: methodology, stages, schedule, and coherence of execution
It works on the practical structure of project implementation, addressing methodology, execution stages, description of activities, and schedule. The lesson emphasizes that the unique forms of organization of traditional peoples and communities—such as orality, intergenerational transmission, ritual, collectivity, knowledge circles, and territoriality—can and should be recognized as legitimate and powerful methodologies within cultural funding programs.
