Lathe Conversion To Single Phase - Kerry AG Lathe
The Kerry lathe has now sold.
The new owner has asked us if we can convert the machine to single phase, running the spindle from a VFD.
This will be the first video in a series of videos documenting the conversion.
Apologies if i'm teaching people to suck eggs, feel free to skip to the last 5 minutes of the video where we pull the three phase 400v motor apart to look at the windings.
I hope to cover the VFD installation and test running with braking resistor in this series.
I will try to get some footage of cutting the windings apart to find the star point when we take the motor to the rewinders.
