Synth1 is unique because it’s an emulation of a virtual analog hardware synth (thus emulating an emulation). That being said it’s a legendary synth and one that I would feel guilty leaving out. It’s optional for this course but many a computer musician’s first software synth was Synth1 (myself included) and in my opinion it still holds up as a quality option for many productions and sounds.
