This is a different video from normal. I was supposed to release a new episode last week but I felt I should approach this topic first. Here I give a quick channel update and share my thoughts about the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on our lives.
'We are going through a challenging time and we can see it all over the news. Schools are getting closed, events are cancelled and we are asked to isolate ourselves and just stay at home.
I’m not a doctor, so I won’t be here telling you what you should or should not do, there’s already plenty of information available online. But we are living in a time of uncertainty, and the unknown is scary.
As humans, we like to feel like we have control of our own lives, and moments like these can makes us feel like everything's just falling apart. We feel scared, powerless and lonely. But it’s times like these where the community spirit really shines. Now we have a power that we’ve never had before and we can literally help saves lives. And this doesn’t even require grand gestures at all. Just by staying at home we’re already helping others. If you have a friend or a family member feeling lonely, give them a call and chat with them for a bit. If you’re healthy, you can help the most vulnerable by offering to buy them food. Or you can just leave a kind letter on your neighbour’s mailbox. Small gestures can leave a big impact on someone’s life. On social media we can already see a lot of incredible things that people are doing to help each other. It’s in challenging times that we can see the best of humanity and all of us can contribute to that.
The world has been moving at such a fast pace that we got into this ''automatic pilot'' mode. But now we have time. We have time to reflect, we have time to clarify our minds and we have time to reconnect with ourselves and with others.
Why not take it?'
