Drive – Chris Capredoni provides a short comprehensive DIY tutorial on depressing the piston on a caliper that requires rotation to bring it back into the home position so that new thicker brake pads can be installed. If you force the piston in without rotating it, you will damage the piston and your brakes will not operate properly, if at all. Look for the indentations on the piston head as your indication of a rotating piston mechanism. All tools used are basic tools.
