Trapcode Particular 2 Experiments - 07 - Equalizer

Just a quick experiment with the Audio Spectrum effect, which I saw in the latest VideoCopilot tutorial.
This equalizer is not just a disc or outwards emitter but it's fully in 3D, meaning the more subtle tones are being emitted into the z axis, while the louder, prominent ones are being emitted outwards, with just using one Particular layer for it. I will probably upload a rotating camera version so the effect is more visible. It's using a velocity layer, which is also driving the color depending on the frequency.
And yes, the idea is totally inspired from the great Matthias Müller ( • Particle tests (15) 3D Music Visualizer - ... ) but I'm doing it with Particular. Gonna make the first equalizer in his video next ;)
